Woman healed at Seven Eleven

She cuts in line of the customers and shouts at me ”You have to pray for me, my back is destroyed!”

This story is very special to me, because, what seemed least likely to happen at that very moment in Seven Eleven, Stockholm – Sweden, actually happened.

I was quite new at work and I hadn’t really gotten accustomed to the intense stress, that sometimes, could occur from nowhere. In the moment of one of these stressful situations, an elderly woman walks in. She cuts in line of the customers and shouts at me ”You have to pray for me, my back is destroyed! I struggled to come to this place, you have to pray for me!”

I was very shocked – to say the least. It took me a few seconds before i recognized this lady, one or two months earlier, I had prayed for her hurting leg. She had experienced strange heat in the area I prayed for, but I never saw her again, until now.

I tell her that I will help her in a moment and then I shift my focus back to my customers. She sits down and waits, but after a few minutes she shouts again ”Come on! Engage in this matter, now!”. She wasn’t being rude, she was just in a lot of pain. As the rush of people faded away, I tried to gather what faith I had and approached the lady. I tried to act confident and was about to ask her what was wrong and how I could help her, but then, she was about to leave…

At this point, I’m still in a small state of shock and a little confused about everything. I helped her up from the chair and told her that she can’t leave before I pray for her.

I placed my hand on her back and prayed for a few seconds, asking God to come with His power and also comanding the pain to leave in the name of Jesus.

Her face changed, from being a little bitter to, well, just confused. As I returned to my cash register to assist other customers, she began testing her back and checking if anything had happened.

I stood there, still confused. No knowing what really happened, but very grateful that the lady got healed dispite my stress and the battles of faith. I learned that day to try my best to be obedient to the Word of God regardless of how I feel.

I’m standing there praying quietly that she would be healed or at least feel satisfied with the prayer. Then I asked her once again, how her back was. She screamed from the top of her lungs: IT’S GONE! I DON’T HAVE ANY PAIN!”

I asked her if she could do something physically, that she hasn’t been able to do with her pain. Instantly she began bending and running and acting as if she was in the tryouts for the Olympic Games, shouting ”I’m Healed!”

I stood there, still confused. No knowing what really happened, but very grateful that the lady got healed dispite my stress and the battles of faith. I learned that day to try my best to be obedient to the Word of God regardless of how I feel.

And I would like to encourage You to do the same! I did not feel anything special or supernatural, before, in the middle, or even after I prayed for her, and still she was healed. It’s not about how we feel, it’s about living close to God and relying on His power!
